Rebecca Dickinson Goldsmith Scholarship

Each year, the Junior League of Charleston awards the Rebecca Dickinson Goldsmith scholarship through The Greater Kanawha Valley Foundation. This $1000 scholarship recognizes a high school senior who has demonstrated outstanding community service. A student will be awarded the scholarship based on the number of his or her volunteer hours as well as the quality of the service performed. A committee of Junior League members will make the selection. Children of Junior League members and sustainers are not eligible for these awards.

Any student from Kanawha County Schools who has maintained a 2.5 grade point average and is in good standing at their school is eligible. Students must use these scholarships for college, vocational or technical education. Adults who have been associated directly with the student and their volunteer service will be asked to comment on each applicant.
